SERVER WITH FASTDL (HOW-TO)

What happens when You connect to play on our server :::

1- Client connects to the server

 

2- server tells the client to Download the required files from a dedicated FASTDL SERVER..

the client downloads the required files quickly from a fastDL server

3- Client automatically re-connects to the counter strike server, having the files downloaded quickly , he doesn't have to wait a long time to play

Tutorial :

open cstrike/server.cfg with notepad
copy and paste this

// server ups and downs
sv_downloadurl "http://podzplague.co.cc/cstrike/"
sv_allowupload 1
sv_allowdownload 1

restart your server.



I run the  http://podzplague.co.cc/cstrike/
if you open  http://podzplague.co.cc/cstrike/maps
there's a list of all the maps that are available for fastDL, if a map or any file is not available in the FASTDL server the client will ask the CS server to upload it to the client(might be slow).

Contact me if you want me to add a map to the FastDL, please use "podzplague map request" as subject to your message and include a link to a website from where i can Download and add the map to the FASTDL server.

SERVER WITHOUT FASTDL

1- player connects to the CS server , server has no FASTDL..
